Carica Tart

Carica Tart - serves 6

Main Ingredients:

  • 2.4 oz. butter or margarine
  • 2.4 oz. sugar
  • 8 oz. flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 pinch of salt

Filling:

  • 1 Jar of Carica segments in heavy syrup (approximately 16 Oz.)
  • Whipped cream

 

Blend softened butter with sugar. Add whole egg and flour. Mix well.

Cover buttered pie dish with pastry. Bake at a low temperature in the oven for approximately 25 minutes or until edges are brown and crisp.

Let the tart cool.

Fill the base with the whipped cream and arrange Carica segments lengthwise across the top. Drizzle the tart with the remaining syrup from the jar of Carica.
