LA SALA Art Gallery and five Chilean artists, Mariana Kaplun, Roberto Edwards, Gonzalo Sanchez, Maria Elena Naveillan and Francisca Valenzuela will be showcasing the project "Chilean People are Recyling in the Bicentennial" in conjunction with the James Gray Gallery in Santa Monica.

This project is about the care of our planet and also, due to the recent earthquake and eveything that happened in Chile, its meaning is to recyle not only the waste and turn it into an art object or making it reusable, but also to recycle ourselves as human beings, as Chileans, and to show the world, through art, that we are experiencing a rebirth bringing out something good, productive and better.

Opening reception: Saturday, May 29th, 2010; 6 to 9 PM

Bergamot Station, Bldg D4; 2525 Michigan Ave., Santa Monica, CA 90404; Tel: 310.315.9502
